Shelly has worked as the head custodian at Mansfield First for 20 years. When asked why she has worked at Mansfield First for so long she said “I can be around the things of God and spend time in his presence anytime I want or need to.”

Family: Shelly Reffel, 57, from Bellville and her husband Al Reffel, 57, also from Bellville, have been attending Mansfield First Assembly together for 35 years.
Together they have three children Jennifer, 31; Matthew, 29; and Breanna, 22. They also have a son-in-law Philip Howe, 31, who lead worship here for a few months. The newest additions to the family are Shelly and Al’s daughter-in-law Sarah Reffel, 29, and Maverick Howe their first grandson.

Hobbies: baking and traveling when she can.

Quote: “You made your bed now lay in it.” Her reasoning behind this saying is that every decision we make has a consequence to it.

Scripture: Matthew 6:34 “Therefore do not worry about tomorrow, for tomorrow will worry about its own things. Sufficient for the days is its own trouble.”
